  • Toast will pop up when finished (check toast throughout to make sure it doesn't burn)
  • When toast pops up is it cooked enough? (if not go back to step 8)
  • When toast is done put on plate (caution hot)

Information/Instructional Design Examples

This is an instructional design for what to do in an emergency in an aircraft. The information needs to be clear and easy to understand. They have decided to use mainly images to put their information across. This has been used because the information needs to be understood in different languages.

Information/Instructional Design

information design is the construction of an effective means to deliver information. The design of the information needs to make it easier for the user to comprehend what you are trying to tell them. Instructional design is a form of information design. It focuses on delivering a message that obtains a user reaction. Both of these rely heavily on the hierarchy of the information displayed.

Interactive Design Example

One example of interaction design on the web is the website for the advertising agency Leo Burnett. When you enter the website your cursor turns into a pencil. The pencil draws lines every time you move the mouse. Also when you move the cursor the main image and text revolve, turning in the direction the user moves the mouse.  The whole website responds to the user.

Interactive Design

Interactive design is the discipline of defining the behavior of products and systems that a user can react with. Interactive design responds to the behavior of its users. There are many ways of grounding interactive design including mental models, mapping, interface metaphors and affordances. The design is evaluated in terms of usability and affective influence.
