Web 2.0

The term Web 2.0 first became notable after the O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004. Web 2.0 is the second generation of the development of the world wide web. The development assists with communication, secure information sharing and collaboration on the world wide web. Web 2.0 enabled the construction of global networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace and Bebo. It also enabled the evolution of video hosting sites, wikis and blogs.
